I wasn't expecting much, but dang, that was CREEPY as heck ;O You really nailed the whole eerie atmosphere and setting, as it made me creep out x) Good job!

Koobazaur responds:

Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised people dug the dark-grim atmosphere. It was part of the experiment - I wasn't sure if it will translate from my vision or put people off. People also liked my second game's aesthetic. Glad it worked :)

After reading a lot of negative reviews consequently, I had to log in to leave a review of my own. I didn't expect this to be an interactive, so it came as a pleasant surprise when I started the game. While the game was rather short, I had a fun few minutes on this game being able to choose what to say and play in a virtual setting. While some of the reviews below might be true on the dialogs and content not being your strongest ability (I loved the art and animation!), I thought it was enjoyable for what it was worth, an interactive small debate game with a nice setting :) Keep making this, because you will only improve after reading the reviews and there's no one to stop you either -- looking forward to the next game :D!

Jasonario responds:

Thank you. That was refreshing

Great game :D I am surprised this has not more reviews and views?! I must admit, the graphics aren't the best, but the gameplay is pretty fun, especially how you can add more reindeer and each can hold upto three different items - this kept me interested and made me beat the game :) Nice variety of enemies, great bosses (especially the last one, he was really hard), and lovely upgrades which give a beautiful screen if rapidfire with laser beam is enabled on all reindeers ;D

Jindo responds:

Thanks a lot for your review, really glad you enjoyed it!

The game got very little notice on both sites I uploaded it to, I'm attributing that to poor timing though and hopefully it won't happen again!

As a matter of fact I'm aiming to upload my next game some time today, be sure to keep an eye out for Dark Maze as it's far more polished than this game in my opinion!

The game has potential, and getting upgrades as you progress was kinda fun, but the controls ruin the whole experience! You should tweak the controls to give the player more control over them, as I died so easily most of the time. The boost was great, but far too long, and after using it the first time, you reach an area where it's almost impossible to survive.

A very solid game, unlike some of the reviews I've read. Although it may be a bit repetitive, and has little variation in gameplay, it was still pretty fun to play as Wolverine parkour running through Tokyo and beating up bad guys in cool ways. The controls were really good, so it's a shame their potential was a bit wasted on this "simple" game, as it could have so many more combos, attacks, power-ups, special movies and all that. The graphics are great, the free running is superb and beating up guys is enjoyable, but this game could be soo much more if only done correctly :)

JuicyBeast with yet another highly addicting upgrade game :D

~ KNIGHTMARE TOWER: REVIEW ~

PRESENTATION: 10
So user-friendly and easily navigated menu which jumps straight to the gameplay without long, tiring tutorials, and starts off nice, easy, slow and fun, right off the bat. It's the ideal first impression a game should have, and you nailed it.

GRAPHICS: 10
So clean, simple and smooth-looking, yet with great details which make the enemies brings forth the eeriness of the enemies and makes them most interesting and appealing to the player. I must really say that the art in this game is beyond great, it's brilliant. All the different evolutions of the same type of enemies was really creative and made me look forward to see the next evolutions in the higher towers as I progressed through the game. From tiny and innocent looking, to big, monstrous and scary looking evolutions with the amazing imagination of yours, which includes wizards with cool powers and fire-breathing dragons, this game becomes very interesting, and gives the player the urge to continue playing. I just have to say it again, the graphics are unbelievably great, and yeah, I'm also talking about all the different awesome swords, armors and boots!

SOUND: 10
Befitting music for the setting of the game, and it barely gets old or repetitive - that's well executed!

GAMEPLAY: 9
From the moment I started playing this game, it already got interesting with its simple, yet super-fun gameplay! I couldn't believe such a concept would be so appealing and utmost interesting to play, and combined with all the quests, huge range of upgrades (which I absolutely love!!!), and so many different parts of the tower with ever-changing enemies (bigger, stronger and cooler), and also with a touch of humor (the last princess was hilarious :D), the gameplay is magically fast and enchantingly fun :)
However, I did find it a bit annoying at times to continuously fall down while trying to hit an enemy, which kinda frustrated me as I wanted to keep bashing the enemies, but that would've beaten the purpose of the game also having a bit difficulty. Also, I thought the boss was a bit ridiculous, I mean, it was kinda funny that you had rage comics quotes for the launch, but to portray the boss as one, was kinda unfitting for this rather excellent game. I would've liked it if the final boss was related to the setting of the game, of medieval characteristics, but the boss was just a bonus as the game without him was already more than enough for me :)

LASTING APPEAL: 10
I ended up playing this for more than 2 hours, and I still haven't maxed out all the different upgrades. The gameplay is fun, the graphics are amazing, and there are dozens of quests to be completed, which all make you want to keep playing the game. And if it wasn't enough, you unlock a survival mode with EVEN more quests, and the enemies there have different colors (that was totally unexpected, and made me like the game even more :D).

OVERALL: 9.5
There is so much to this flash game that it exceeds every possible limits, and like every JuicyBeast game, it provides hours and hours of fun, upgrading, quests and a diversity of areas to explore, each with their own characteristics, which all contribute to the ultimate fun factor this game presents to the player. Another excellent game by you guys, which deserves the score it has received. I'll be waiting for your next game :)

Awesome game, I really enjoyed it. It's simply yet very fun :)

Also, one thing I noticed is that the cursor can be seen OUTSIDE of the Flash stage, how did you do that o.O?

AWESOME!

Keybol?!?!?! When I started playing this game, I instantly fell in love with it, as I love these type of games, but when I saw who the author was, I was VERY surprised, lol :P

Great job, keybol, you have improved so much and have also achieved a lot - keep it up, man ;)

keybol responds:

Hehe it's been a while. Thanks Prid!

Good Game

It was a nice, sweet and short escape game :)

Though, it still has flaws, like the illogical thing to press a brick on the fireplace to open hidden and ridiculously wall portions, which was really pointless. I hope you improve by your next game ;)

Nice

The menus, the loading, the effects and DEFINITELY the music, were astonishing - really great. Though, the gameplay wasn't as good as I expected, but still, this game looks like a real game if you turn on the Full screen. Good job, but next, add more things ;)

Btw, what is that AWESOME background music, LOVE IT :D

codergames responds:

Thanks. The music is inspired by the Monkey Island theme. It's not an exact clone of it, obviously. The logo is also inspired by the same old game. The game itself has nothing to do with the Monkey Island, though.
